RainIt ended with rain. I could feel it as it tapped its light fingertips across my face and shoulders. Soaking my clothes until they clung to my body. I'd always loved the rain.Rain
Bastian used to smile and shake his head at me whenever I'd run outside as soon as I heard the slight drumming sound of it on the roof. But he'd still stay up with me all night, holding me in the comfortable circle of his arms, to watch and listen with me, as the clouds told us their stories with light and sound. And he'd still run with me through the field in my attempts to catch the end of the rainbow.
